COURSE OFFER:
The Institution offers course for General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from the session 2005 onwards. Annual intake of 30 students (only female) per year is selected from candidates in and around the North Eastern region.
ADMISSION:
1. Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM
▪ 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination from any recognized Board, 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates. However Science is preferable.
▪ Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.
▪ 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational ANM Course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
▪ Registered ANM with passed mark.
2. Minimum age at the time of entrance shall be 17 years as on 31st December, 2021. The upper age limit is 35 years.
3. Any other reservation as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
Note : Reservation shall be included in the seats sanctioned and not above it.
4. Students shall be medically fit.
5. Sex : Only female candidates are eligible.
6. Marital Status : Unmarried/Single.
MODE OF SELECTION FOR ADMISSION:
1. Open written competitive examination will be conducted if possible only.
• Written Test : The Date and Time for written test will be informed to the candidates/applicants .
2. Selected candidates will be called for personal interview/online interview (Zoom cloud, WhatsApp Video call etc.).
• Personal interview : Candidates/Applicants will be called for interview through personal /online interview (zoom cloud, whats App Video call etc. ) .The date and Time for Personal interview will be informed to the selected candidates.
• Selected candidates appearing for personal / online interview are requested to provide original documents at the time of interview.
3. Final selected candidates from the personal interview will undergo Medical checkup / Physical examination / Medical screening test by the Medical Officer at Bethesda Hospital & Research Centre on a specified date.
DISQUALIFICATION OF ADMISSION :
Any candidate/students found to have the undernoted characteristics/remarks will be disqualified from admission even after final selection.
1. Anyone addicted to drugs / alcohol / tobacco etc.
2. Convicted criminals by any court of law or pending trial.
3. Having any form of dispute/rumours which will cause disharmony to the institution.
DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED:
The following documents should be enclosed along with the application form:
1. Two recent passport size photographs of the candidates ( Self attested )
2. Attested photocopy of evidence of Age / Birth Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Residential Certificate.
3. Photocopy of HSLC & HSSLC Mark sheets and Certificates.
4. Character certificate from competent authority.
5. Certificate of Medical Fitness from designated Medical Practitioner for undergoing the nursing course.
Note: All the documents enclosed in the application form must be produced in original at the time of interview.
